Dr Pravin Borase is a co-founder of Photon Chemicals and serves as Head of Research and Development. He holds the PhD degree in chemistry from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. (Formerly UDCT Mumbai). With more than 6 years of industrial research experience, he has expertise in the area of synthesis of pharmaceutical intermediates, Functional fluorescent colourimetric dyes, supramolecular host-guest chemistry, ionic liquids and catalysis for various organic transformations. He has hands on the development of nanocatalyst and functionalized fluorescent probes for the biological and trace metal analysis applications.

At Photon chemical Dr Pravin Borase is responsible for strategic planning for Business Development, Contract research & manufacturing, and custom organic synthesis of new product/ process development in R & D to explore the new avenues for growth.
